Mara Beel is gleaming with 2 coats of wax on her upper areas. Mark installed vacuum gauges on the Racor fuel filters, among other things. We did lots of organizing of the storage areas-- there are many-- all over the boat. We compiled a comprehensive inventory of model numbers, serial numbers, replacement parts, etc. It's a good thing that I love to organize just about anything! Yes, I even labeled all of the drawers and doors with my trusty label maker so that I know what's inside. Mark chuckled about that last one. We are set to take off on the beginning of the Great Loop adventure later this summer.
Friday night we had a delicious dinner at the English Inn in Fish Creek. It's good that we went early- the place was busy later! We took the back roads and had a very scenic drive with water views and fancy houses along the way. Every trip to Fish Creek means a stop at the Oilerie to stock up on the 25 year-old balsamic vinegar that we use on salads-- it is so thick and almost sweet-- and their incredible selection of olive oils from Italy. We also are big fans of Wood Orchard. We buy their cherry salsa by the case- it is that good! They also offer free samples of just about everything they sell- from cherry doughnuts to savory crackers and dips.
