Scenes from Old Montreal

We have taken several walks around this part of the city. Activity is increasing with the approach of the weekend and a Grand Prix Formula 1 race. We've seen many expensive cars in the lots, not that they are racing. We spotted a Lamborghini, a Rolls Royce, many Mercedes and Porsches, etc. There is also a huge science exhibit along the boardwalk attended by dozens of school buses filled with excited kids.

The nearby recreation area includes a huge ferris wheel and a zip line that are very popular.

Harbor Clock Tower

We toured the Notre Dame Basilica a few blocks from here. Our guide told us it was designed by an Irish Protestant, apparently the only architect available who could create a Gothic design.

The interior of the church is magnificent.
